Description:

Micrologic is looking for an enthusiastic quality driven and forward-thinking Field Technician to join our team. in this position you will service and support existing customers as well as new customer installations. As a Field Technician, you would be a part of a dynamic team that will allow you to grow as Micrologic grows.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Provide quality customer service surrounding company values.

· Respond to routine and some non-routine customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, and emergency service calls on a timely basis.

· Discuss with the customer the problem being experienced and possible resolutions.

· Read blueprints, programming documentation and wiring diagrams.

· Terminate and understand color codes for category cable and fiber optics.

· Troubleshoot low-voltage system issues and correct them accordingly while in the field.

· Basic programming of security systems, CCTV systems, access control systems, life-

· safety systems.

· Perform technical tasks with minimal supervision.

· Perform installation and troubleshooting of, but not limited to, access systems, security systems, structured cabling, gate operators, phone systems, audio/visual, sound systems.

· Perform testing to verify high quality installations.

· Communicate effectively with team members.

· Troubleshoot equipment failures and repair or replace defective parts as needed.

· Perform preventative maintenance on necessary equipment.

· Train customers on new or existing installations.

· Maintain a clean and well stocked company vehicle.

Job Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Electrical License preferred but not required.

· Differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

· Excellent time management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule.

· Mechanical and electrical skills.

· Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment.

· Good communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to install system hardware and wiring.

· Must have knowledge of security systems, access systems, structured cabling, phone systems, audio/visual, and sound systems.

· Clean driving record.

· Must be able lift 50 pounds.

· Must be able to work at an elevated position, including but not limited to, ladders of up to 30 feet, aerial work platform and bucket truck, roof tops.

· Ability to work in tight or confined spaces.
