Service and Dispatch Representative

Reports To: Field Operations or Dispatch Supervisor

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service and Dispatch Representative to support our wireless and fiber internet operations. This role serves as a critical communication link between customers, field technicians, and internal departments. The ideal candidate will efficiently coordinate service appointments, manage dispatch schedules, and ensure a seamless customer experience by balancing service timelines with operational capacity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatch Coordination:

1. Schedule, assign, and dispatch field technicians for new installations, service repairs, and maintenance for both wireless and fiber internet customers.

2. Monitor and update dispatch boards in real time to ensure optimal routing, resource utilization, and time management.

3. Track technician status and job progress throughout the day to minimize delays and maximize service efficiency.

Customer Service:

1. Communicate with customers via phone, email, and SMS to confirm appointments, troubleshoot scheduling issues, and provide service updates.

2. Serve as the liaison between customers and technicians to ensure clear, professional communication and issue resolution.

3. Reschedule appointments when necessary and handle escalations regarding missed or delayed service calls.

 

 

Operational Support:

1. Coordinate with technical support, sales, and customer care teams to ensure all service orders are accurate, complete, and ready for dispatch.

2. Review service requests for accuracy, including customer information, technical requirements, and service location details.

3. Enter and maintain accurate records of all service orders and dispatch activity in CRM and ticketing systems.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (required)

2. 1–3 years of experience in service dispatching, scheduling, or telecommunications support roles.

3. Understanding of wireless and fiber internet technologies is a strong plus.

4. Familiarity with dispatch software and CRM systems preferred but not required.

5. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

1. Customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

2. Experience working with GIS/mapping tools or field service optimization platforms.

3. Flexible availability for early morning, evening, weekend, or on-call shifts as required.
